Co-founder & non-executive Director of start-up CropBiome, Ireland. Having worked for 30 years investigating plant-microbe interactions. Over the past 10 years, applying that expertise to select and develop endophyte treatments to improve crop resilience and efficiency of nutrient use. As a co-developer of the IP associated with CropBiome, Fiona works closely with the senior management and staff. Professor in Plant Health & Plant Pathology, Vice Principal for Research, Innovation and Impact in UCD College of Science, Founder and member of the UCD Centre for Plant Science, Founding member and Associate Director/ Director of UCD Earth Institute, UCD, Ireland. Science Foundation Ireland Principal Investigator, Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Cereal laboratory, John Innes Centre, UK.
